yes, today was hair cut day.. in case for some reason you were unaware up until this point.. ahem. it was a sleep in day for me thankfully. the rest is nice. all I had on the schedule was class.

I’ve been intensely stuck on eating cinnamon raison bagels and cream cheese. yes vegan, you can always just assume that here. it’s become my new breakfast hyperfixation. I abandoned my peanut butter and apple morning breakfast routine shortly after I got refrigeration. just in case you all wanted to know my breakfast of choice, cause that’s totally what you’re here for..

school at noon fifteen began with our bell work of setting up our stations. I tried to film mine but not only was it blurry, but it was also in slow-mo. classic seda move. we started off with a video about degrees of hair cuts. today, we learned a 0 and a 90 degree hair cut. we got through the 0 degree and halfway through the 90. it was quite challenging truthfully. we all struggled. you think parting hair is easy and the next thing you know you’re pulling out hair from another section.

the 0 degree hair cut was easier than the half of the 90 we started. I think mine truly turned out quite nice. I’m pretty proud of it. it’s also a fun haircut that turns out layered. I’m excited to do the rest tomorrow. we do test tomorrow on the last pretty easy chapter so I’ll have to brush up on the chapters as the tests come. I did enjoy today and it went by quickly. I think the hardest part for me is holding all of my tools in the right places and adjusting them based on what I’m doing. I cut myself so many times today too. and the amount of times I dropped my comb was insane. I really hope it was just a dropsy day and not a consistent thing because it was really frustrating knowing that if I did that with a client, I’d have to be cleaning every single one of these.

early day to work tomorrow before school. it’s helpful having the evenings off. balances my work, school, and life better. OH I GOT A MUSHROOM POT TODAY I’m so excited I found a mushroom pot, it ties for best parts of my day for sure. I’m so excited to get plants to put in it. anyway, it’s the little things in this big world.
