heckin wet

I could venture to say the rain didn’t stop for at least 24 hours straight. it’s great for the environment and I’m glad it’s happening for that reason, it’s just not weather that is conducive to my existence. anyway, work started off the same as it always does, except I learned something different this morning. I tried to break the ice with my coworker, which did not prove to be successful. turns out, I think it only works if he breaks the ice or when he decides. what a concept. everything was just fine after that. I do notice such a deep lack of willingness to communicate just the littlest things. along with that, I am quite exhausted. I don’t feel it much, but me and everyone else can tell in my ability to get with the shits on the little things. this morning, a customer, who in fairness, always gets decaf, decided she wanted caffeine. we had a whole discussion about how she changed her mind and it was a whole hoot and holler, then I went to repeat her drink order, and immediately said decaf. lady asked if I needed a drink.. the answer would be yes in the form of sleep.

school went well, just running out of things to do. I did show my instructor head and face shaves, which was fun for neither of us to sit through. however, I asked right away afterward if he was ready to sit through another round so I could get signatures. it was absolutely a joke but he actually signed double and just trusted me to go over the other few on my own. after that, I did an updo, which turned out nicely. I finished a set of 4 braids I started a few days ago and then tried my own updo. I started with a braid down the middle of the head, but just that middle section, so it was like a mohawk braid. I pinned back a strand on the right side and left the rest of the hair on that side hang loose, then I tried to do a waterfall concept on the other side. I honestly got bored and just put it away, it didn’t turn out the way I wanted the first time and I was not in the mood to work with it farther. it poured throughout school.

now am home, doing a rest. trying to keep up with that before it pulls me under. I definitely can see a visible change below my eyes. oh we tested today as well. I missed two, however, one that I missed was missed for a really stupid reason, which is that two of the answers were basically the same, just worded differently, and I couldn’t remember from the review which one was the right answer. so dumb. also, chiricahua national monument became a national park recently! super exciting news, specifically because my ex and I traveled there at one point. it’s a really cool spot if you’ve never checked it out. they have coatis! if you don’t know what a coati is, definitely interwebs it. worth the look. but anyway, I do miss living outside and traveling this big world, but not in the rain.
