welcome all to my blog. I’m going to work on keeping up with this so I can connect with all of you at once in order to share the daily experiences I’m living. I know I can’t always keep up with who knows what so thanks for diving into blog life with me as I embark on my new life journey.
first day of barbering school today at technical college of the rockies in delta, co. it was quite exciting, though I did feel quite unprepared as to what to bring. I chose a notebook and pencil (I used neither). today, I sat in a classroom to learn for the first time in 10 years; what a turn around of my life in that time frame.. what a turn around from a year ago.
the 15th marks one year since my partner of 4 years and I separated. I could drone on about my sadness and whirlwind thoughts but I prefer to leave it this way instead: those 4 years of my life left me in a very rough mental state. I didn’t feel confident or even capable of the smallest things. I was angry, exhausted, and behaved like a person I didn’t feel was supposed to be me. I have turned a full 180 since then.
I’m now here, back in the desert, my happy place. I live in a cute little RV on a big piece of land (though it is close to some other folks but I really don’t mind.) this will be the first time I’ve lived inside in almost 4 years. I do enjoy the space, but I feel I will miss my outdoor living. I haven’t been missing my tent in the 108 degree heat. that in itself is a massive change. pausing my nomad life has weighed heavy on my heart, though I know it’s for the better. my life still lives in color.
this is coming out longer than I thought it would. if you’re still here, thanks for sticking with my recap. I had the most beautiful summer, that deserves it’s own blog post and I’m sure it’ll come up in future posts. I spent the last few months bartending at Glen Echo up in rustic, co. the emotions ran deep there, both good and bad. though you must have the yin/yang balance of life, the good trumped the bad by far. I was surrounded one of the deepest loves I’ve ever felt. the universe definitely gave me the right stepping stone. I was dying to work in Aspen at this beautiful coffee shop in an amazingly fancy hotel. universe said “hell no, buddy; you’re going to adult summer camp”.
also, I got my tongue and eyebrow pierced yesterday (AND DIDN’T PASS OUT)
see ya, suckers!
