my self discipline and motivation is weak, so I haven’t been keeping up with a few things in my routine, including blogging every day but here I am! yesterday was really nothing to write home about. work was easy and fun. there were less rules and a LOT less stress and pressure. working with my boss is always a pleasure. he’s very cool and chill thankfully. I had the afternoon off which I spent hours doing homework and hours on the phone with my sweet mother. I always enjoy talking to her. then, I rested for the evening, nothing too out of the norm.

today wasn’t either for that matter but I figured I’d catch up the blog. sunday is the one day a week I work at the fancier restaurant, however, I’m picking up wednesday and saturday nights as well which I am excited about. I know I need the money. it was a relatively chill sunday. we did start with a line at the door before we even opened. I had fun, learned some stuff, met some people. I got to do more latte art which is cool but I still have inconsistent milk consistencies which makes art a lot more difficult. I am a lot more consistent with my art though. it has been cool to see the growth in my art since I started or even since I was last in coffee.

I wore my black button up that has pink flowers and leaves on it which happened to also coincide with my coworkers wearing their flower button ups. I did kind of figure from the pattern that they wore those every sunday so I figured I might as well test my theory. it was obviously successful! it’s a funny thing they do, I think, it’s quite cute. it’s cool to be a part of that group and seem to fit in better than doghouse, or at least with the one of two people I work with. working at the grove is just so much better overall. it’s a better vibe, which is sad, considering the coffee ya know?

work went by quite quickly. I got complimented on my shirt! oh and I made an iced mocha with jalapeno syrup and I enjoyed it a lot. weird, I know, but whatever. came home, did a lot more homework, less than I expected though. the online workbook looked a lot longer than it was. there were three sections of slides and 4 others of step by step procedures so those were easy to get through. it’s nice to be able to have it done so I can start studying cause it is another loaded chapter. so much info to intake and work through. it’s been tough to keep in all in my brain while also learning completely different things at school. also, I got halloween oreos which is the ONLY time I will even consider oreos honestly. but they’re halloween, and orange, and the new package glows in the dark like come on. my plants are doing well for the most part. some have had more leaves die than I wanted but they seem to be recovering and adjusting just fine. most of them are putting out new leaves and the ones who aren’t just put out leaves so I just have to leave them be for a bit and let them do their thing. I definitely have a problem of over loving my plants, sometimes to death. with that being said, it’s time to go back to resting cause I’m off work tomorrow, I just have school, same with tuesday so I’m going to soak all that down time in. lowkey just hiding from the big world outside.
