a blog to connect me to you

today was a rough wake up day. I woke up early for work I figured out I don’t have to go to and then couldn’t get back to sleep for one reason or another. I was quite tired all day which heavily impacted my ability to do things, even though I did get quite a bit done today.

school went slow, though we tested today. I passed with a 100% which honestly in this class is not hard to achieve, given that we review with the questions directly off the test. it was also an easy chapter about how to treat clients. we are going into a more dense chapter next and then an even more in depth one after that so that’ll be half of the big challenge of the class. we begin haircutting next week and got the list of tools to bring with us for the day. I am excited to be going into actually getting to cut some hair and be more hands on and on my feet. I learn much better that way.

when I got home, I did quite a bit of the basic boring laundry and hygiene stuff. otherwise, I opened up my tent to make sure it wasn’t getting moldy from the rain last week and then sweltering temps the last few days. it was looking just fine, thankfully cause I’ve been putting that off, hoping it would be okay. procrastination is a bitch, isn’t it?

my evening was spent enjoying my little inside home. Being able to shower whenever I want really has been a game changer, as well as just having my own bathroom in general. I was never really a messy person at home and now, I am a little bit, just due to the fact that I can. I don’t have to clean my barely dirty quesadilla pan because I know I can just leave it out for when I do the same thing tomorrow, ya know? it’s a strange difference from who I was when I last lived inside. I did realize today the amount of cleaning I will eventually have to do which made my shit list for the day. even now, I’m sitting at my little dining room table writing to you all so that you can all keep up with the sometimes consistent, sometimes chaotic life I’ve chosen to live. I am proud of where I ended up, thus far. thanks for coming along for the ride. I do miss you guys.

the piercings are all healing nicely, thank you for asking. they hurt much less. I changed out my tongue bar for a smaller one that that made a HUGE difference. it’s a little snug but I can move my tongue more normally now, and it’s not rubbing on the inside of my mouth thankfully cause that was half the battle. my mantis piercings honestly are pretty easy to manage. they do sting when you touch them but they are pretty out of the way in my nose so I can still blow my nose easily. my eyebrows are the easiest out of them all so far. they don’t hurt much at all.

starting to get into a routine slowly but surely. trying to add things over time. it’ll be a hefty schedule for the year for my brain. hopefully, the routine will help and I can stick to it. writing to you all is a nice part of my day, here in my big world.
