there are a ridiculous amount of flies in and near my rv. I have one of those hanging sticky traps, which, besides the necessity, is just kinda ick. I think I can count maybe 10 currently roaming. I left the doors open (screen shut) to get fresh air and I kid you not, maybe 20-30 flies on the outside of the screen. I have never seen so many flies in one place at a time like that. of course, my bathroom screen door was covered in a similar amount. it’s going to be in the low 80s this week again, which usually brings on the flies. it’s been rainy and cold or partly cloudy for too long now that everybody got used to it. the heat is not going to be a pleasant change for many folx.

anyway, morning started off with not being able to get warm. I actually don’t think I got warm until work. I was actually treated like a coworker and not an enemy today, like.. all day, so that was cool. that made work much easier. so many fun regulars came in today. we have some characters here in small town delta. I’d tell ya more, but my brain is quite tired so I’ll try to do the rest of this quick.. nothing super important going on at work. I did find plant pots that look like cigarette packs. I’d hoped they had the kind of cigs he smokes, but they don’t or I immediately would have gotten it, considering all my plants are going to them when I leave here.

school was okay today. we tested and actually got three chances to retake the test for a higher grade. I did do my test twice and ended up with a 96% which I am not at all mad about because I think I missed one.. after that, I helped my classmate wet his mannequin’s hair and mine, then did a round brush blow dry and straighten. OOH my classmate brought us carbon combs! they don’t melt with heat so you can use them right in front of a straightener to section, hold, and comb the piece before it goes through the straightener. very exciting stuff. also super kind of her to do that for us.

after that, I did an updo which turned out pretty okay for my first time trying it. I didn’t even consider taking photos, but the top third of the head was separated into two dutch braids, the ones that look like the braid is sitting on top of the hair, and then brought in all the side and under sections of hair one by one to make two bubble braids down the back of the head. pretty neat turnout and I got 4 braid signatures out of it which I’m pretty sure is all the signatures I need on braiding for the month. a little unfortunate because I enjoy braiding and it’s easy for me, so I’ll have to work on other things without getting a brain braid break. say that five times fast.

my classmate next to me did a super cool razor cut today on his mannequin. it was a super creative cut and very impressive. side note, before I forget. annoyingly nauseated on and off today. I know it’s because I’m not breathing which is understandable, but a highly uncomfy consequence.

I did some homework, chose to set the books down at 6:30pm, made myself dinner, and rolled into bed. I’m so close to finishing this willy wonka game show series. getting very exciting, as game shows do, though I’m significantly more invested in this one. I’m really just stuck on being impressed with their recreation of the movie. it was nice to get some extra time to rest. I have a long day tomorrow. work in da mornin, work in da evenin, and school in between. I did choose this, and I do enjoy it, I really do, but sometimes I look at my schedule and wonder how the actual fuck. and honestly, I’m doing surprisingly well almost two months in. okay bedtime, big world, yada yada good night
